Ever thought you could create jewelry more stylish and beautiful than the store-bought stuff? With our project-ready epoxy jewelry kit, you can! It’s easy and fun to let your imagination run wild with color and shape. You’ll get resin, hardener, mixing tools, and a variety of jewelry molds to make uniquely beautiful bracelets, pendants, rings, and other pretty things!

What You’ll Need:

• TotalBoat Epoxy Jewelry Project Kit featuring TotalBoat MakerPoxy by Jess Crow
• Protective gloves, eye protection, and clothing protection
• A work area protected by plastic sheeting or a silicone pad, to catch any overflow
• A heat gun for popping any bubbles that form in the epoxy
• (Optional) Jewelry findings and decorative items to embed in your jewelry pieces

 

STEP 1 – GET EVERYTHING READY TO GO! Lay out your molds and materials. Make sure your work surface is level.
STEP 2 – MIX Measure and mix epoxy resin and hardener. Stir, stir, and stir again to mix completely.
STEP 3 – ADD COLOR Add powder pigments or alcohol inks. Remember, a little color goes a long way!
STEP 4 – POUR Pour the mixed epoxy into the molds. Slow and steady pouring reduces air bubbles.
STEP 5 – POP AIR BUBBLES To pop bubbles, wave a heat gun back and forth quickly, above the surface. The heat helps bring bubbles to the surface for quick removal.
STEP 6 – ADD MORE COLOR OR EMBEDDED OBJECTS Use the epoxy-filled syringes & droppers, or alchol inks, to add more color. Now’s also the time to embed any objects, such as tiny gold leaf flakes, crystals, shells—whatever you like!
STEP 7 – REMOVE YOUR JEWELRY Wait about 24 hours for the epoxy to cure completely. Pop your pretties out of the molds — they will release easily!

Fun With Epoxy: Epoxy Jewelry #1 – Patriotic Designs

In this video, TotalBoat Ambassador Dwain Coufal of Casual Collisions uses the TotalBoat Epoxy Jewelry Kit to create a few red, white, and blue patriotic-inspired designs. Note that he’s using the TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy system, which has a different mix ratio than MakerPoxy, but the steps are similar.

Fun With Epoxy: Epoxy Jewelry #2 – Dichroic Designs

In this follow-up video by Casual Collisions, Dwain shows us how to create dichroic glass style designs. Dichroic glass changes color in certain lighting conditions, displaying two different colors. Note that he’s using the TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy system, which has a different mix ratio than MakerPoxy, but the steps are similar.
